Mark Menjivar: Let Me Introduce Myself

Hello, Hola, Bonjour, Guten Tag, Begroeting, Hallå, नमस्ते,  您好…TranceFamilySF!  If the picture you see looks familiar, it’s because it is!  My name is Mark Menjivar and you may have seen this handsome face graced on the pages of the guest blogs on for some time now if you have been an avid fan of the website (as I have been).  I’ve written columns and other random ramblings on subjects like Save The Rave, dream collaborations, and trance music in general.  More specifically, I have touched on a whole array of subjects such as event reviews, music reviews, commentary, music news, in depth columns, and general LOLs at (check that one out of you want to see some of my past writings).  Well, I am now pleased to announce that I will be bringing my talents more officially to TFSF as an in-house blogger.   Why was I fortunate enough to be chosen as the big mouth of TranceFamilySF?  I really don’t have a good answer to that.  All I can say is I love trance music (and EDM as a whole) and look to contribute to the dance community in the little ways that I can.  I’d like to think I can bring some unique flavor to this already awesome group of people that is TranceFamilySF.  Plus I like to joke a lot if you couldn’t tell already.  So what does this mean from here on out?  Well, I have plans for some weekly spots that will be worth checking out.  Lots of great things in the works and can’t wait to start doing my thing and talk, share, debate, discuss, and laugh with you all :).  That being said, let’s get it started!

Does anyone know what this Thursday is?  You guessed it…Trance Thursday!  More of a weekly event for us trance lovers as the 1-2 punch of global trance domination have their radio shows back to back on starting at 9 am: Markus Schulz’ s Global DJ Broadcast and Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance.  4 hours of new tunes from 2 of the greatest in the business.  It doesn’t get much better than that.  Join me for some live tweeting during GDJB and add me on twitter @SFTremor.  Send me some mentions, share some tracks you like, I’ll share back.  Let’s have some fun ;).
