Kyau & Albert Turn 15 and Keep Rockin’

Rarely does fate smile on an artist to be fortunate enough to enjoy the gift of longevity.  Especially in an industry as relatively new and “here today gone tomorrow” as ours, staying afloat and relevant is quite a task.  Adapting and evolving while not falling victim to growing trends is key.  This, ladies and gentlemen, is the key to aging gracefully.  Nobody has done this in such a noteworthy fashion than German trance duo Kyau & Albert; who happen to be one of TranceFamily SF’s favorite acts.  Recently they have released their “15 Years: The Album” chronicling their long spanning career across two generations of trance music with some of their most famous singles receiving rework treatment from some of today’s trance heavyweights such as Tritonal, Mat Zo, and Arty.  The compilation also includes some of their most recent singles to demonstrate their staying power.

Meet Shaina van Buuren

Allow me to introduce myself..Shaina’s the name, but most of you probably know me as SvB. I’ve been obsessed with music since as far back as I can remember. Seriously. One of my earliest memories is hanging out in pre-school listening to Barney songs on a cassette tape. From there on out, I cycled through various genres: pop, R&B, underground, alternative, and finally settled on EDM (trance) in mid-2008.
